Visit to a rice mill

In the province of Vercelli you can visit the farm estate Veneria that plays a great role in the rice growing tradition. In 1949 it was among the sets of the film ‘Riso amaro’ by Giuseppe de Sanctis, starring Silvana Mangano and Vittorio Gassman. With an area of over 700 ha it is the largest farm estate in the region; several types of rice are grown and processed until they are ready to be packed and sold. Possibility to enjoy a rice-based lunch.
