A Tessin mountain valley with numerous huge rocks beautifully shaped by the dark green waters of the river. Here you will see great buildings such as the wonderful “Ponte dei Salti” in Lavertezzo, a medieval bridge with double arches, and the church of Brione, with marvellous frescoes from the 14th century created by a disciple of Giotto school. At the end of the valley lies the small picturesque mountain village Sonogno. The village boasts a typical centre with grey granite houses and wonderful wooden balconies decorated with colourful flowers. Here is the museum of the valley as well as an old bakery still working. In addition to the typical Tessin Grottoes (wine cellars) attracting guests with countryside wine and dishes (local salami, speck and cheese), the wool workshop and further shops offer handicrafts product from the valley.
