The “Trulli” of Alberobello

This typical rural village of the Murge is famous for its large concentration of  “trulli” dwellings of very old origin. The “trulli” are little circular buildings with conical roofs, created by laying concentric circles of limestone. Declared an Italian national monument, Alberobello is home to over thousand trulli in rows, most of them well preserved and still inhabited.
