Trapani – a piece of Africa in Italy
Package price per person, 5 days from € 249,00
Group price valid from 20 participants. On the westernmost tip of Sicily, where the wind has shaped the contours of the beaches and rocks and covered everything with a thin veil of fine sand from the Sahara, lies the most African corner of the Island of Sicily. Trapani was the place where cultures and peoples clashed; they came from across the sea leaving clear traces behind them. After visiting Trapani, you will get to know Erice and its famous Marzipan, as well as the isle of Mozia, the most important in the Stagnone lagoon. You will also visit the picturesque salt ponds of Marsala where salt is still collected using traditional methods. The last day is a free day for relaxing and shopping. We will conclude with a dinner at a typical trattoria near San Vito lo Capo to try the famous fish couscous prepared according to an ancient Arab recipe and admire the spectacular sunset over the sea…
