Tour in Apulia – nature and art

A walk through nature, baroque art and Swabian castles

This tour will make you discover all the shades of this special region: firstly you will be based in the Gargano area, in Vieste or in its surroundings, enjoying all the touristic sites of the Gargano peninsula. You will explore the medieval Borgo Monte Sant’Angelo through the lanes of the city centre. Happy ending of the excursion: Foresta Umbra. Depending on the season, there is also the possibility to enjoy a boat trip to the wonderful sea caves of Vieste. The next day you reach Andria, the Imperial residence of Frederick II. The tour ends with the visit of Trani, the oldest settlement in the area, situated on a strip of land and famous for its cathedral. Our journey takes us southwards, to the Monopoli area. From here you will be escorted to Alberobello, where you will admire the most famous Italian architectural elements: the Trulli, symbol of Apulia; later we will visit an olive oil mill where we can taste this local specialty. In the afternoon visit of Castellana Caves. In the morning we visit Lecce, famous for forging and carpenter crafts and above all for its beautiful baroque monuments.
