Saint Tropez – Port Grimaud – Esterel

We depart from the hotel at around 8:30, after a short stop in Cannes we head along the Côte d`Azur passing Napoule, Theoule sur Mer, Agay, St.Raphael, St.Maxime, until we reach Saint Tropez.. The Esterel Massif: between Cannes and St. Raphael we drive through the porphyry Esterel Massif. The contrast between the red ochre cliffs at 600m above the sea level and the azure blue waters of the sea provides a unique panoramic view. This strip of coast is nicknamed “Corniche d`Or” . Saint Tropez: the craziest village of Côte d`Azur. The main meeting point is the yachts port housing luxury yachts. After the Second World War the town has been rebuilt in a medieval style. Free time for shopping. Early in the afternoon we drive back to Port Grimaud, the “small Venice of the Côte d`Azur” (opened in 1964). We stop here to visit the town with the possibility of a tour on boat that here is named “coche d`eau” (water carriage). We go back to the hotel in the evening.
