Selinunte

The westernmost Greek colony, Selinunte boasts one of Italy’s most important archaeological sites. The enchanting Selinunte is well worth a stop off during our Sicily tour. Selinunte owes its fascination to the isolated location it enjoys, where the white ruins stand out against the clear blue sky and the shining sea. The archaeological site is divided in three 3 structures located parallel and close to each other: the Acropolis, located at the top of a hill rising sheer from the sea, the Sanctuary of Malophoros consecrated to Demeter and the Sanctuary of Zeus.
