The ideal tour for getting to know Rome and the Bay of Naples, two marvellous spots only 260 km away from one another. This combination will suit any clientele: the Eternal City with its incomparable monuments, from the Colosseum to the Roman Forum to the Vatican Museums; the Bay of Naples with its highly striking scenery, from Vesuvius to the Sorrento Peninsula. In Rome, we have made bookings for B&B only, to leave you with the opportunity of trying typical Roman cuisine, in the Trastevere district for example, after having visited the length and breadth of the city. In Sorrento, however, the stay is all about relaxation, with dinner in the hotel every night. Some excursions will show you the most interesting aspects of this area of Campania, and you will fall in love when you visit Naples!

Day 2 After breakfast, a half-day guided tour of Ancient Rome. The tour starts in Piazza Venezia, in order to view the Campidoglio. Immersed in the atmosphere of Ancient Rome, we will admire the Roman Forum, the heart of the ancient city; the Colosseum, known for the gladiatorial matches; and the Pantheon, built as a temple dedicated to the gods of Mount Olympus and later transformed into a Christian basilica. The afternoon is free, so that you may go shopping or visit places on your own. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 Breakfast, then a half-day guided tour of Christian Rome. Tour of the Vatican Museums with pieces of art like the Laocoön, the Belvedere Torso, and the Sistine Chapel. Don’t miss St. Peter’s, the largest and most impressive church for Christianity, with works by Michelangelo and Bernini. Early afternoon, departure for the Sorrento Peninsula and accommodation in hotel for 3 nights HB.

Day 4 After breakfast, the morning is dedicated to a guided tour of Naples. Naples wins over every visitor with its countless testimonies to almost three thousand years of history; its old town filled with constantly changing moods, sound and music, colours and smells; its narrow streets and multi-story houses; and its lively, friendly, lovable people. We finish the visit with an aperitif in an historic caf´ in the centre. Free afternoon. Return to hotel for dinner.

Day 5 Breakfast, then departure for a full day trip to the ruins of Pompeii and the park of Vesuvius. Pompeii, the city buried by the great eruption of Vesuvius, is an impressive and revealing insight into life in antiquity. When you visit Pompeii, don’t miss the chance to go up Vesuvius as well. From Vesuvius you will have a wonderful view over the Gulf of Naples. Return to hotel for dinner.

Day 6 After breakfast, departure for return journey.
