The town of Ragusa is characterised by Baroque architecture, whose fines example are the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista and the Basilica San Giorgio. We take a short stroll through the narrow streets and squares of Ibla, the old toen. In Modica we visit the 18th century San Giorgio Church boasting a spectacular stair. Our Baroque tour ends in the small town of Noto which after its destruction in the 1693 earth quake was rebuilt down in the valley and became Sicily ‘ s capital of Baroque. Noto plays hosts to an array of majestic churches (Ecce Homo, Cathedral, Holy Spirit, etc.), cloisters and magnificent mansions.
