It is a tiny island in the middle of a lagoon. So small one nearly can’t believe that this island once influenced the history of a big one….Sicilia. But still, all the ancient people came by: the Phoenicians, who founded the first colonies,the Chartaginian,the Greeks and the Romans. Starting at the mainland a boat will take you to an island where many mystories are still unsolved.Needless to say that the visit of an still working saltfactory, the archaeolgical museum and the tasting of the famouse Marsala wine aren’t allowed to stand back.
