Day 1 Arrival in hotel and arrangements for 3 nights HB.
Day 2 After a tasty breakfast, visit to the tiny Santa Maria Maggiore, the “capital” of Val Vigezzo (also known as the Valley of Painters); afternoon transfer to Re and visit to its Basilica, famous for one of the most unusual miracles in the local religious history. The day ends with a tasting of wines and typical produce of the valley. Return and dinner in the hotel.
Day 3 After breakfast, everyone will be ready to climb on board of the famous Vigezzina, better known as Centovalli: a route crossing the valleys linking Italy and Switzerland with breathtaking views from cliff-top bridges and tunnels. Afternoon visit to elegant Locarno and the smaller Ascona. Return to the hotel for a gala dinner with regional dishes deliciously prepared by the chef: an irresistible “arrivederci”!
Day 4 Generous breakfast in the hotel and departure for return.
