Cork: the precius gold of the Gallura region

Calangianus is one of the sidevillages around the mainvillage Gallura, Tempio Pausania. This village is known all over the world because it is the centre of the corkcultivation. The factory Arte Sughero in Calagianus is in business for more than 40 years and today it is the last company that still works with manual technics. In this firm one can monitor the steps of using cork: the cooking and the production of stoppers as well as pieces of art… and all this with traditional methods. After visiting the facotry the guests get a little surprise.
