Cogne and Gran Paradiso National Park

Cogne, located 30 km south of Aosta, represents the entry gate to the Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy’s first park of this kind.

The town’s origins date back to Roman times (Cogne boasts one of the best preserved bridges in the world) and are linked with the nearly located iron mines and water falls. Here you can visit the typical historic centre and the water falls from Lillaz. We head further to Valnontey at the entrance of the Gran Paradiso National Park. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit the castles of St. Pierre or Fenis (entry tickets not included).
