Castel del Monte, Andria and Trani

Castel del Monte is a magnificent masterpiece of Swabian architecture. Built by Fredrick II on one of the highest sites of the Murge, it dominates the entire area. Famous for its octagonal shape, it will surprise you also for the richness of the still existing sculpture collection. After visiting the castle you will explore the old town of Andria and later Trani to visit its cathedral, one of the most beautiful Romanic churches in Apulia.
